Maybe it's my monitor, but I kind of wish this were bigger. There's so much detail in this.
I've seen this before of course, but I still like it.

beauty meets calamity?
:icondisintegration:
I think it's more about trying to find beauty where it would appear there is none :)

I like the way you tied the image within the image. What I like about much of your work is the fact that you can tell that you arent afraid to explore new subject matter and technique in your pieces, I like that alot of your work is dark but at the same time it makes you search for the light within it... you are incredibly talented at what you do, I really enjoy this piece.

very well done disi :)

Absolutely amazing. Do you use your own photography only or stock, because you seem to have a wealth of unique images for your collages? Ah... and I have a third meeting for your description, Tim Burton (via Beetlejuice, the colors, slightly grainy almost stockmotion look of the wedding sequence/sandworm sequences).

Well, I usually think of Tim Burton as a happier version of Edward Gorey with the -colored- imagination of Robert Wiene (it's rather obvious the influence of films such as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari into Burton's bizarre and "unique" imagery). Too bad that Tim decided to drop his neu-expressionism style after Edward Scissorhands...

And, well. I use both photos of my own and stock (most of it which I find at inertia).
