As you can probably guess, this work draws from both Lewis Carroll and Expressionism. Also, there is some Jungian thing going on with the shadow.
I dedicate this work to `saintartaud, because she's awesome. She has been very influential on my cultural development, pointing me to artists, films, books, comics, musicians and other things I wouldn't know about if she hadn't recommended them. This work is a "thank you" card of sorts for her. For you, AR.

As usual, your works have an impending doom and an overall sense of well-thought creation. I think it's a classic photo, like you said, that meets the Disi - someone who can manipulate an image to a point of complete satisfaction. Ach! Now I'm embarassed! Thank you...
This is very lovely. I get the whole shadow thing--here it's absolutely inescapable. The shadow is nicely blended, but I especially like the way the wall has that rough texture, reminiscent of Saudek's wall, but a different thing. Her gesture is so lovely and tormented. It's just a very nice, felt piece.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
